Central Bank of Turkey – Inflation Report (Q3 2010)

A rise in inflation during the final quarter of 2009 was only temporary, the Central Bank of Turkey's quarterly Inflation Report has said.

Food, energy and administered prices were all responsible for the rise, leading to annual inflation of 8.37%. Reductions in the CPI during the first half of 2010 have yet to bring the index back to early 2009 levels.

Rising concerns regarding the debt sustainability of a number of Southern European countries have had limited impact on Turkish risk premium
