BoE considers option of further stimulus

Minutes from the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting published on Wednesday showed members had considered further stimulus measures but, overall, though it best to hold the stock of asset purchases at £200 billion ($310 billion).

The minutes from the 3 - 4 August meeting said members considered arguments in favour of a further easing in the stance of monetary policy after markets had focused on the possibility that the Federal Reserve might undertake further asset purchases
