Sarb - Banking Supervision Annual Report (2009)
The South African Reserve Bank's 2009 Banking Supervision Annual Report, published on Wednesday, reviews a number of decisions and policies implemented at the central bank in response to the global financial crisis, and assesses the role of incentives at banks.
The report conducted a thematic review of all South African lenders' incentive schemes during 2008 and found that South African banking organisations generally had sound principles embedded in their incentive schemes, including:
