Bank of Spain – Financial Stability Report (November)

Spanish banks pursued different strategies in the boom period, and that heterogeneity has carried through into their response to the crisis, the Bank of Spain's Financial Stability Report found.

"The outcome of the different lending policies pursued by banks is that adverse events pass through to their balance sheets and income statements in the form of effects of a different relative scale," the report said.
