Housing conditions holding up in West Virginia

Although communities whose housing markets are strongly connected to markets in some adjoining states have fared less well, conditions in West Virginia on the whole continue to be strong.

House prices in West Virginia did not start to decline on a year-on-year basis until the first quarter of this year and then the decline was only 0.2%. There has however been considerable variation in house prices movement within the state.
