The adoption of the euro would help restore confidence in the Estonian economy, said Andres Lipstok, the governor of the country's central bank in its latest Annual Report.

Lipstok said the Estonian economy had to cope with the decreasing confidence of foreign investors, which meant considerably smaller foreign capital inflows compared to the pre-crisis levels. He also said the objective of adopting the euro needed to be borne in mind when planning any economic policy measures. He said a
