Czech Board's March minutes

The minutes of the March meeting of the Czech National Bank's board show that six of the seven members voted to keep the two-week repo rate unchanged at 3.75%.

The lone dissenter was Mojmir Hampl, a vice governor, who favoured a raise in rates by 25 basis points.

The board noted that risks to inflation overall, based on data from February, moved towards the downside. Although inflation figures in January and February were higher than the forecast "inflation might return to the target fairly
