Bank of Slovenia - Annual Report 2006

Strong exports and domestic consumption helped Slovenia's economy grow by 5.2% in 2006.

The construction sector had an impressive year, expanding by more than 20% in the final quarter.

The central bank said that conversion to the euro on 1 January 2007 went smoothly after interest rates converged with European rates in the second half of the year.

Average inflation remained about 2.5%
