Central Bank of Uzbekistan issues new highest-denomination banknote
New denomination worth around $3 and similar in design to notes already in circulation
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has revealed the design of is new highest denomination banknote, set to enter circulation on March 10.
In a statement, the central bank published details of the new 10,000 som ($2.94) note, including the security features it will contain.
The design is in line with the notes currently in circulation, with the coat of arms featured on the obverse of the note and a national building or city on the reverse.
