Ireland's central bank has a staffing gap of approximately 9%, despite plans for a major staffing increase this year and the next two years.

The Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) currently employs approximately 1,600 full-time equivalents, against a target for the end of 2016 of 1,695. The figures were released by Irish finance minister Michael Noonan, in a written reply to opposition spokesman Michael McGrath.
