Ysaguirre leaves Central Bank of Belize
Former energy minister replaces central bank governor as term comes to an end
Glenford Ysaguirre, governor of the Central Bank of Belize, stepped down when his term at the institution came to an end on September 31. He decided to not renew his contract.
The governor-general of Belize, Colville Young, has appointed Joy Grant as Ysaguirre's successor, on the advice of the prime minister. Grant is the former head of the ministry for energy, science and technology, and public utilities.
