National Bank of Belgium closes scientific library

Less need for the facility due to electronic resources, bank says

The National Bank of Belgium will close its scientific library in Brussels on March 31, it announced today (January 26).

The library's collection of publications, mainly specialising in economic, finance and monetary policy, runs to around 100,000 books and 1,300 periodicals. Its facilities can be used by students, teachers and staff from public or private institutions "with which the library has an agreement".
