Central bank’s handling of crisis was sometimes ‘surreal’, Mervyn King and Marvin Goodfriend say
An independent report into Swedish monetary policy has recommended changes to the composition of the central bank's rate-setting committee and its price stability mandate, a review of its forward guidance, and much more besides.
Former Bank of England governor Mervyn King and professor of economics at Carnegie Mellon University Marvin Goodfriend conducted a review of Sveriges Riksbank's monetary policy between 2010 and 2015, at the invitation of a parliamentary committee.
