Supervisory board chair says SSM is ‘working very well’ as it approaches first anniversary

Danièle Nouy expressed concern over the "insufficient harmonisation" of the regulatory framework in Europe today (September 11), although she stressed the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) is "working very well" as it approaches its first anniversary.

Nouy, who chairs the SSM's supervisory board, noted the creation of a single European rulebook was an improvement on past practices, but argued "too many national options and discretions" still exist in the regulatory framework.
