Sveriges Riksbank is increasingly focusing on 'big data', deputy governor Cecilia Skingsley said on September 3.

The Riksbank is planning a workshop to bring together experts on big data from within and outside the central banking world, Skingsley said in a video interview with Central Banking, filmed on the sidelines of a presentation she gave at Deutsche Bank in London.

Big data refers to any data set that is too large to handle using traditional statistical methods. It throws up issues
