New Zealand central bank facing 'paradox of transparency'
RBNZ-commissioned survey finds trade-off between transparency and certainty
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) faces a "paradox of transparency" as the more open it becomes, the more it "risks jeopardising" the certainty valued by its stakeholders, according to market research company Ipsos.
This is complicated by the fact that "different degrees of transparency" are appropriate for different relationships, Ipsos noted, after completing the first 'external stakeholder engagement survey' on behalf of the central bank.
The survey, conducted between June and November
