Volcker Alliance sets out proposals for a new regulatory structure in the US

Paul Volcker set out his vision for a streamlined network of financial regulators in the US yesterday (April 20), including a central role for the Federal Reserve.

The Volcker Alliance, created in 2013 to push for more effective government, published a report calling for a new regulatory structure "capable of keeping pace with the evolving financial landscape".
