Bank of Portugal intensifies central bank cooperation programme
Central bank increases ‘cooperation actions’ by 44% in 2014
The Bank of Portugal has completed 105 projects so far in 2014 as part of its cooperation programmes with other central banks, an increase of 32 when compared with this point in 2013.
The central banks of Portuguese-speaking countries were the main partners and participated in 77 projects, while the other 28 occurred in other emerging and developing countries, relevant "in the context of multilateral initiatives involving the European System of Central Banks and the European Union".
