Riksbank calls for FMI recovery plans

Sveriges Riksbank concerned by lack of recovery and resolution plans

Sveriges Riksbank today called on Sweden's financial market infrastructures (FMIs) to develop recovery plans and "safeguard their survival in the event of economic problems".

A report by the central bank, released today, said the FMIs were "to a great extent safe and efficient" but could be "further strengthened" by introducing recovery and resolution plans in the individual FMIs and in Swedish legislation.
