Riksbank reveals location of gold holdings
The Sveriges Riksbank has released new information about the whereabouts of its gold reserve following discussions with the other central banks that host its holdings about ‘confidentiality' issues around going public.
The Riksbank holds 125.7 tonnes of gold, worth Skr37 billion ($5.85 billion). Almost half – 61.4 tonnes – is held at the Bank of England. More than a quarter, 33.2 tonnes, is at the Bank of Canada. The Riksbank itself stores 15.1 tonnes, with 13.2 tonnes at the Federal Reserve
