Trichet sees 'conceptual convergence' among major central banks

Central banks, particularly those in advanced economies, have shown a remarkable convergence in their approach to monetary policy and financial stability following the global financial crisis, according to Jean-Claude Trichet, a former president of the European Central Bank (ECB).

"One of the most impressive features of the last 15 years and, more particularly, of the last six years, has been what I would call the "convergence" towards a number of close, if not identical, monetary policy
