BoE prepares to implement Banking Standards recommendations

The Bank of England (BoE) today published its response to the recommendations made by the UK's Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards (PCBS), agreeing in principle to almost every point but saying more consultation will be necessary in many areas.

The PCBS was formed in July 2012 to assess the need for reforms to the UK's banking regulation, and took evidence from a wide range of individuals between September 2012 and March 2013. The commission published its final report in two volumes in
