BoE survey shows record-level concern about sovereign risk

A total of 94% of private sector respondents to the Bank of England's (BoE) latest systemic risk survey, published today (November 19), cited sovereign risk as an important concern, the highest proportion since the survey was launched in 2008.

The biannual survey was sent to risk managers at 79 financial institutions, including UK and foreign banks, asset managers, hedge funds and insurers, and achieved a 100% response rate. Respondents were asked their views on the likelihood of a "high-impact
