National Bank of Denmark criticises independent economic report

The National Bank of Denmark released a critical response to a report from Denmark's Economic Council, disagreeing with the council's appraisal of the economy's fiscal sustainability and medium-term growth potential.

The Economic Council report, entitled ‘Danish Economy Fall 2012', said the labour force and structural employment would begin to increase from 2014 onward. In particular, it said a reform enacted in 2010 to halve the maximum duration of unemployment insurance from four to two years
