Ingves delivers regulation implementation ‘reality check’

Stefan Ingves, the governor of the Sveriges Riksbank and chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, today (September 13) said ensuring implementation of regulation offered a "reality check" when it came to reforms.

Speaking at the 17th International Conference of Banking Supervisors in Istanbul, Ingves listed the areas of focus for the Basel Committee. These included the global reform for over-the-counter derivatives markets, the regulatory treatment of securitisations and managing
