IMF’s Lagarde warns on global growth

Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today (July 12) said the growth outlook for the world economy had worsened recently.

"In the IMF's updated assessment of the world economy, to be released next week, the growth outlook will be somewhat less than we anticipated just three months ago. And even that lower projection will depend on the right policy actions being taken," she said.
