Cheques secure place in Australian payments system
The Australian Payments Clearing Association (APCA) released its final report on the role of cheques in the country, after a lengthy consultation process, on May 15.
Titled The Decline of Cheques: Building a Bridge to the Digital Economy, the report summarises the outcomes of the consultation, which began in June 2011, and includes a series of recommendations and commitments.
