Lagarde applauds Nigerian sovereign wealth fund creation
In her first visit to Africa since her appointment, Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday discussed the challenges Africa faces in today's world economic situation.
In a roundtable discussion held in Lagos, Nigeria, Lagarde said that, in these "challenging times" for the global economy, "the dark clouds of risk are gathering, and Nigeria and others in Africa will need to watch them carefully".
