Egypt banishes bankers from board of directors

The Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces yesterday passed a decree that prevents bankers from sitting on the board of directors of the Central Bank of Egypt.

Egypt's ruling military council amended certain provisions of Egypt's central bank and banking sector law after discussions with the central bank.
