West African central bank reopens offices in Ivory Coast: reports

West Africa's regional central bank (BCEAO) has resumed its operations in Ivory Coast and made arrangements to ensure adequate cash supply to private banks, according to reports.

"The BCEAO is open. It has made all arrangements to supply the banks with bills," the Ivorian Banking Professionals' Association's vice-president Souleymane Diarrassouba said to Reuters newswire.

This follows the January 26 statement, signed by Jean-Baptiste Compaore, the interim governor of BCEAO, which said the
