Half of RBA’s external rate-setters miss meeting

Half of the rate-setting external board members at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) missed the central bank's monetary policy meeting on 5 October, minutes published Tuesday revealed.

Three of the board's six external members - Roger Corbett, Graham Kraehe and Warwick McKibbin - were absent according to the minutes. The meeting had the lowest turnout from rate-setters since the RBA's first published set of minutes, for October 2006.

A spokesperson for the RBA told CentralBanking.com on
