Cebs unveils details of EU stress tests
The Committee of European Banking Supervisors (Cebs) on Thursday set out details of its pan-European stress tests.
Cebs listed 91 banks which would be subjected to the tests, including several of the German landesbanks and the Spanish cajas, viewed by the markets as particularly fragile.
The list represents about 65% of European Union (EU) banking sector assets, a similar amount to that covered by the United States' stress tests.
