Fed could win fight on monetary policy audit: reports
The Federal Reserve could be poised to win the battle to avoid opening its monetary policy deliberations to a government audit, reports indicated.
Reuters, a newswire, reported on Tuesday night that Democrats in Congress's lower house had signalled they were willing to accept a narrower version of the Fed audit that exempts monetary policy decisions, as approved by the Senate.
