Hildebrand, Weber condemn calls for higher inflation targets
The heads of the Swiss National Bank and the Bundesbank have attacked suggestions by the IMF's chief economist to raise inflation targets.
Writing for the Wall Street Journal, a newspaper, Philipp Hildebrand, the chairman of the Swiss National Bank's governing board, and Axel Weber, the president of the Bundesbank, on Friday said arguments to raise inflation targets to 4% were "severely flawed" and the time "highly unfortunate, if not imprudent".
