Norway’s SWF looks to emerging markets

Norway's oil fund, Government Pension Fund - Global will continue to add emerging-market exposure to its portfolio as the global financial crisis dies down.

Martin Skancke, the head of investment at the Norwegian ministry of finance, said in an interview for Sovereign Risk Management, a new book from Central Banking Publications, that the government was taking a long-term view. "In the future, Asia will have a larger GDP share, larger market shares, and also a larger share in our import basket
