Basel proposes home-host fix
The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision on Thursday announced a raft of recommendations aimed at addressing one of the major problems underlined by the crisis.
The committee's recommendations on resolving cross-border failures look to strengthen national resolution powers and their cross-border implementation, and institution-specific contingency planning, and reduce contagion and limit the impact on the market of the failure of a financial firm.
The committee urged countries to devise
