Deflation risk and unemployment hit euro area

Eurozone annual inflation plunged 0.6% in July and unemployment rose to 9.4% in June, according to data published on Friday.

A flash estimate by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, showed inflation had fallen half a percentage point this month, from -0.1% in June.
