Conference targets terror funds

CANADA - An international conference on money laundering opens in Montreal late on Monday 15 October, aimed at helping countries harmonise their approaches to tackling the issue.

Police investigators, accountants and other experts in the field will be sharing information and tactics in an effort to better co-ordinate their efforts.

Special sessions on tackling the funding of terrorist activities have been introduced as a result of last month's attacks on the US.
