Colombia cbank cancels meeting amid board changes

Colombia's central bank has cancelled this week's regular Friday board meeting on Feb 23, 2001 a spokeswoman for the institution said. She didn't give any reason for the move. The board hasn't decided when or whether to hold another meeting before next Friday [Mar 2], the spokeswoman added.

The cancellation might have something to do with two new appointments made to the central bank's board on Feb 21, 2001. Colombia's president has appointed Mines and Energy Minister Carlos Caballero and
