Brazil may raise inflation target

Economists have said Brazil is likely to raise its inflation target to a more realistic level which could allow the central bank more room to reduce interest rates.

Brazil's government may boost its inflation target for next year, setting a more realistic goal that could allow the central bank to reduce interest rates faster.

The national monetary council, a government committee that sets long-term monetary and credit policy guidelines, will probably raise its inflation target
