Jarai says central bank changes still unlawful

Zsigmond Jarai, president of the Hungarian central bank, told a conference Thursday 28 October that despite minor adjustments submitted to planned modifications to Hungary's Central Bank Act, the intentions driving the changes are still "wrong, uncultured and unconstitutional."

The original modification plans, while expanding MNB's Monetary Council to 11 members, would have reduced the number of MNB vice presidents in the Council to one - in effect, dismissing two members of the current Monetary
