Anti-globalisation protest IMF/World Bank meeting

US - Nationwide planning by anti-globalisation protesters from across the US is intensifying and becoming increasingly sophisticated in advance of next month's meetings in Washington of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, reports the Financial Times, 16 August.

Four weeks of classes and training sessions will be held for people who want to be schooled in everything from the World Bank's structural adjustment programme to the techniques of non-violent civil disobedience.
