Russia ranked world's fifth in reserves

Russia ranks the world's fifth in terms of its international reserve assets (for gold and foreign exchange reserves), Prime Tass economic news agency reported on Friday 1 July.

The report was based on information of the economic research centre at the Moscow International Institute on Econometrics, Computer Science, Finance, and Law.

Press releases and open statistic information provided by central banks and financial ministries as of July 1, 2005 formed the core data for the current research
