Bank of Canada appoints Godin as adviser

The Bank of Canada has announced the appointment of Pierre Godin to the position of adviser. The appointment is for an 18-month period and Mr Godin will be joining the Bank in mid-March.

Mr. Godin is currently the Acting Chair of the Quebec Securities Commission. From 2000 to 2002, he was Special Adviser to the Chair of the Quebec Securities Commission, where his work focused on issues related to market structure and self-regulation. From 1998 to 2000, he was Chief of Staff for the Chief
