Klaus makes visit to CNB

CZECH REPUBLIC - A meeting of Chamber of Deputies chairman Vaclav Klaus with the Czech National Bank (CNB) Board on 14 May at CNB's invitation can be understood as an expression of the central bank's readiness to shake hands and make up.

"Klaus had often complained about a lack of cooperation with the bank. He failed to be invited to the Board's sessions, but then again he has no legal right to that. Probably the bitterest pill he had to swallow was that the former governors never consulted him."
