Welteke to stay out of Buba reform - Falthauser

The finance minister of the German state of Bavaria, Kurt Falthauser, has called for Bundesbank President Ernst Welteke to refrain from commenting in public on the issue of reforming the central bank, German newspaper Boersen Zeitung said Sunday.

"Welteke isn't the reformer here, this reform is the business of politics and not that of the Bundesbank," Falthauser said. Falthauser also called for German finance minister Hans Eichel to be more willing to compromise and to pursue a clearer position
