Japan's Ota warns BoJ about tightening

Japanese economic and fiscal policy minister Hiroko Ota on Friday 23 February warned the Bank of Japan against further credit tightening.

"I expect the BOJ to make decisions by assessing economic and price conditions in Japan," Ota said at a press conference when she was asked about the likely timing of the next rate hike by the central bank, following the one implemented on Wednesday.
