Japan's deflation improving, not ending: Fukui

Japan's deflationary trend is easing but there no sign exists yet of it ending entirely, Bank of Japan Governor Toshihiko Fukui said on Friday 30 January .

"The downtrend in prices is slightly improving," he told a parliamentary meeting. "But looking at consumer prices the trend is still for a continued downtrend. It's hard to see deflation being overcome."
