US Senator hints at cut after high level meeting
Dodd, chairman of the US Senate's banking committee and a Democratic presidential candidate, met with Bernanke and Henry Paulson, the US Treasury secretary, on Tuesday.
Dodd said that he had asked the Fed chairman "to use all the available at his disposal to maintain liquidity" and said the chairman had assured him he would.
