Easing of Yugoslav sanctions by BOE

The Bank of England has eased financial sanctions against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Serbia following the publication of an EC regulation (No. 2488/2000). Sanctions will no only cover those funds belonging to the former president of the FRT, Mr Slobodan Milosevic and those persons associated with him.

Since June 19, the financial sanctions had been extended to include companies, undertakings, or entities owned or controlled by the government of the FRY.
